Edelman (concussion) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Analysis: As the Boston Herald reported earlier in the day, Edelman did not travel with the team, and the Patriots made the official announcement Saturday night that he will not play. Edelman's absence boosts the value of Rob Gronkowski and Brandon LaFell (shoulder).

Blount (shoulder) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Analysis: Blount owners won't be happy to hear this, but at least we have some clarification about the running back situation in advance of Sunday's kickoff. With Blount out of the mix, Shane Vereen and Jonas Gray will handle the rushing duties for the Patriots.

Murphy suffered a broken hand during Saturday's win over the Eagles, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis: The rookie linebacker recorded a season-high six tackles (four solo) prior to exiting. Murphy will presumably miss next week's finale against Dallas, likely opening the door for Jackson Jeffcoat to step into the starting lineup.

McCarron (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against Denver.

Analysis: As the third quarterback behind Andy Dalton and Jason Campbell, McCarron's availability for Monday would only affect the third, emergency quarterback position. His situation is unlikely to affect the game.

Culliver (knee) is active for Saturday's game against San Diego.

Analysis: While Culliver's presence is good news for the San Francisco pass defense, he's not likely to be a worthwhile IDP consideration.
